For Emily Witt, physical activity has always played an important role in her life. Encouraged to be active from a young age, Emily enjoyed team athletics as a child and was a three-sport athlete in high school. Emily went on to play lacrosse in college and eventually began rock climbing, running marathons, and participating in triathlons. However, after an extensive foot and neck injury that led to several surgeries, her doctor prescribed Pilates to repair and strengthen her body. Once Emily experienced the benefits of Pilates herself, it became a passion in her own life and solidified a desire to share her passion with others. She obtained her comprehensive Pilates certification from Core Pilates NYC and knowing the value of Pilates, whether it's to maintain a healthy body or rebuild from an injury, she brings this knowledge to her Pilates teaching.
