Olivia Keister is a fully certified Pilates instructor through Stott Pilates for apparatus and the Kane School for mat. Her interest in Pilates started in 2000 when she purchased a tape set of Mari Windsor Pilates. Coming to exercise later in life, Olivia found the mat sessions helped her alignment and ease the discomfort of jogging. At a modern dance studio, she discovered real-time Pilates. The feedback and hands-on coaching from the instructor only deepened her affection for this method that seemed to give her those extra few inches she always longed for (she's under 5'0"!). She knew she found another passion in life and in 2007 set out to become a Pilates instructor. She firmly believes that Pilates is for everybody and, as a total exercise fan, she finds no other activity offers the same kind of mind-body connection. Olivia also teaches Spin, Zumba, and Tap. She is an actor and a yoga enthusiast, likes to jog, and lives in Brooklyn with her buddy Bruno, a half-Maine Coon Kitty.
